Demonstration of Solar Heated Biogas Digester in Poultry
Cleaner environment and renewable energy is the idea behind this project which aims to deal with the accumulations of animal wastes which causes several problems such as the spread of diseases and release of methane gas emissions ( have negative impact 21 times more than carbon dioxide emission).
Therefore the project of demonstration of biogas pilot unit implemented by the CBO and with the technical assistance of the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) in one of the chicken farms in Kofrabil village in Irbid, is to convert animal wastes into a renewable energy to be used for heating and lightening purposes in the farm and act as observed model for neighboring farms.
CBO believes that implementing the project contributes in the protection of the local community environment, raise income of farmers by reducing the electricity bills paid through the usage of biogas in the heating and lightening in the farm, encourage nearby farmers to use the biogas technique, increase soil fertility by using the processed fertilizer from anaerobic fermentation of animal wastes.
