Qinghai Oriental bee plays an important and indispensable role in maintaining local ecological environment balance and crops pollination.Especially it is good for plants growing at low temperature and high-altitude areas. In recent years, Qinghai Oriental Bee is on the verge of extinction due to human disturbance and degradation of ecological environment.

This project will promote the Qinghai Oriental Bee conservation and beekeeping industry in Minhe county. On the one hand, it can improve the biodiversity. On the other hand, it can help the local women and disable people to improve their livelihood.

4)Disseminate and publicize knowledge of environment protection and beekeeping technologies.
5)Provide door-to-door on-site technical services of beekeeping to the households.
6)Held project warp-up meeting to share and disseminate project results.

Anticipated results/outcomes:
1) 100 people gained knowledge of biodiversity conservation and skills of beekeeping.
2) The amount of Qinghai Oriental Bee is increased by 60% and the pollination function of Qinghai Oriental Bee enhanced.
3) Beekeeping household's income increased $980 at the first year and will continue increasing in the following years.
