This project aims to achieve greater empowerment of the local population regarding conservation of marine turtles and the environment. This initiative will ensure the protection of Loggerhead turtles ( Caretta caretta ) on the beaches of João Barrosa, located on the Turtle Nature Reserve on the southeast coast of Boa Vista Island, through a participatory process. This process will entail trainings, sensitizing and awareness sessions, participatory nesting beach patrols.
