Skill development trainings will be organized to improve the skill and knowledge of the community through training modules. 20 trainings, awareness sessions, seminars will be conducted for an average of 500 villagers to promote gender sensitive rural enterprises for income and employment generations.

The beneficiaries are not indigenous community.

The main aim of the project is to facilitate the generation of renewable energy at the farm- household and community level, increase carbon sequestration and storage in plants and soils, strengthening agro- biodiversity, enhancing income and employment at the farm- household and community levels and improve skills and knowledge of the local community. The project will promote green farming models with emphasis on inter/mixed cropping with nitrogen fixing trees and shrubs forming one of the components, recycling, including composting and mulching, livestock integration etc in 100 households.

The project will have effective linkage with 5 village panchayats (local government) and Thykattussery Block panchayat, the locally operating tier of the Panchayati Raj Administrative set up, and the community based organizations functioning. The project will have effective linkage with Coconut Development Board, Department of Agriculture, Kerela Agriculture University, Central Plantation Crops Research Institute and other institution which will entitle their support and involvement in the project activities.
