Project Characteristics and Results
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
1 or 2 days theoretical training, land development activities will be conducted in their field like Trenches, Percolation pits, Terracing, Farm ponds etc. Demonstrations on rainfed agriculture, preparation of composting and vermin composting will be done and beneficiaries will be encouraged to do the same.
Gender Focus
Farmer including both men and women will be equally responsible in the process of commencing the project. Participation of the farmers will be ensured at every stage. 10000 Forestry and 6000 Horticulture plantation will be done by the local communities. 40 Vermi and 50 other Composting units will be established by the local communities. Sustainable agricultural practices will be adopted; loans will be given from SHGs or local banks for poultry, livestock activities to strengthen the livelihood and income for the farms.
