The activities planned to achieve the main objective of the project were accomplished in accordance to the Project Concept. It was not planned the activity to build up a heat distribution system but it was a necessary element. New technologies were applied by construction and operation of a pilot solar system that produce electricity and hot water for the kindergarten of Chiscareni community. The activity of promotion and the process of increasing the public awareness about the environment through seminars was a little bit hard, but in general, the participation of people was above 80%.
The beneficiaries of the project are 178 preschool children, with ages between 2 and 7 years old, which under the guidance of adults prepared artistic and informational moments regarding the environmental protection and use of alternative energy. The parents, grandparents contributed to the fundraising, assisted to the project's activities, monitored the work. Another class of beneficiaries are the 32 employees of the kindergarten.
By installing in the kindergarten of 60 solar panels and 80 evacuated tubes, which generate electricity and hot water, it has been achieved a lot of global benefits, like CO2 reduction of about 87.4 tonnes/annually. The saved energy obtained for the period June-December 2014 was about 7300 kWh for the electricity and 4200 kWh or apx. 3 Gcal.
The project influenced the wellbeing of the population, contributing to the creation of added value, strengthening health, reducing the consumption of medicines, and the possibility offered by PLA Chiscareni to direct financial resources available for solving other problems to stringent community.
