Clean energy for healthy children
The project aims to promote the use of innovative low-carbon technology through construction and operation of a pilot solar system to produce electricity and hot water for the kindergarten of Chiscareni community.
The project comes to enforcement priority in GEF SGP program and fits the priorities of GEF SGP: Climate Change as a thematic area.
The immediate objective is to promote the demonstration, development and transfer of low carbon technologies at the community level.
The project provides the installation of 60 solars panels on the roof of a kindergarten in the town Chi?c?reni, that will capture solar energy and transform it into electricity, able to substitute 90% consumption needs of the institution and 80 solar collectors, that will provide the institution with warm water.
Adjacent project activities are:
1. seminars;
2. workshops on global environmental problems and ways to solve them;
3. Round Table on global environmental problems and ways to solve them;
4. updated project information can be found on www.chiscareni.md;
5. a study of energy efficiency action and dissemination of successful experience.
