Recycling waste for handicrafts Wageningen
Recycling waste for handicrafts Wageningen
SGP support communities to promote amongst others, environmentally friendly waste management to avoid open burning of waste and unintentional release of chemicals. Stichting Wageningen supports Marron and Indigenous women in producing handicrafts made of non-timber forest products and waste materials, such as plactic bags. The project seeks to raise awareness on recycling while supporting the women of Wageningen generating their own income through training in project management and marketing. The participants of this project will learn how to use waste materials to produce handicrafts contributing to a cleaner environment and preventing the waste materials to be disposed or burned in the open air.
