The primary objective of this project is to
implement a special purpose vehicle that will facilitate a Rural Decentralized Solar Electrification
Platform operated by Women from the Community that will be sustainable, financial viability,
scaleable and replicable. More importantly, is that it will be operated on commercial basis
generating revenues from the training, the sale, installation, service and support of the off-grid
system. The objective of the initiative is to build local capacity and electrify the poor by
reducing/eliminating the dependence on Eskom energy, Communities will have access to clean, low-cost solar energy
