General Objectives: Introduction of improved stoves, fish smoking kiln drying of fish for reduction of consumption of firewood of mangrove in at least 50% in this 3 tabancas
Project Results: (i) At least one woman in each morança of the 3 tabancas built an improved stove with success, and do not use anymore the three stones stove, (ii) all constraints in the use of improved stove identified in follow-up activities are exceeded, (iii) The test of firewood consumption of two stoves identifies the relative consumption in wood and the rate in reduction consummation of the improved stove, (vi) The paper diagnostic use of the stove is introduced if available, (vii) The improved stoves and dryers are adopted successfully replacing traditional stoves of smoking, (viii) Fires reduced by at least 50%
Project Principal Activities: (i) formation of 60 women in the manufacturing and use of improved stoves essay on the consumption of firewood in the tree stove stones verses improved stove, (ii) Monitoring the use of improved stove, (iii) Formation of 15 men on the manufacture and use of smoking ovens and an Essay on the consumption of firewood oven traditional smoking kilns verses smoking improved, (iv) Monitoring the use of improved smoking stove, (v) Formation of 15 men on the manufacture and use of solar driers and monitoring in their use, (vi) training in fire management, (vii) application of the calendar for preventing forest fires, (viii) Each tabanca planted until July 2013, 300 seedlings of 5 varieties of species in fragile or degraded forest areas, with a rate of Success of at least 90% by the end of the project.
