Already the community leaders of the communities were involved in the designing and planning of the project. Various Committees will be formed at the community level to supervise and over see the implementation process. Specifically, a management committee will be formed in each of the two communities. The Committee will be called Forest Management Committee (FMC).This committee will among other things address number of issues surrounding environmental protection including forest use and livelihoods of the said areas especially during and after the implementation of this project. In addition to the FMC, a fire management Committee will also be formed that will oversee the issue of fire incident. During implementation, the Project will prepare and submit Project Reports on a quarterly basis to the GEF highlighting successes and failures including financial utilization. In like manner, a very vibrant Monitoring and evaluation committee will be formed that will monitor and evaluate the progress of the project. They will carry out reviews of the project every quarter to make sure that the project is not deviating from its original design and bring any pertinent issues to the attention of the organization. All stakeholders will be invited to participate to share experience about the project success stories A joint project evaluation will be undertaken by the Organization, MAFFS, and GEF on a quarterly basis to ascertain whether the project is creating impacts or not.
