GOAL
The formulation of planning on community welfare enhancement through sources of livelihood that are align to nature and based on conservation of Wampu sub watershed

OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : The established community awareness on Biodiversity Potential of Wampu sub watershed
Indicators : 1. The presence of documentation on potential formulation and opportunities to increase community welfare associated with conservation efforts of Wampu sub-watershed in Ujung Baka.
2. Formulation of community problems related to natural conservation of Wampu Sub watershed in Bingai Sub-District
Activities : 1. Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA)
To recognize the whole area potential by community. Will be carried out together with representatives of youth groups, farmer groups, women groups, and existing cooperatives in Ujung Baka, Bingai Sub District. Attended by 25 participants and facilitated by facilitator (staff of TITIAN Medan). PRA tools will be applied; such as transect, drafting of the village?s history, seasonal calendars, trend, stakeholder analysis, trading system, sketches of village etc. The results of this appraisal later will be used as the basis for the formulation of group plan.
2. Group Planning
Conducted in each group in example women groups of Tanduk Mas, Bestari, Maju Bersama, Farmers Group of Gaharu, Youth Group of Cendana Putra. The planning process in the group is based on the planning of shared-groups? vision. The steps are to (i) Determine the situation, (ii) Formulate a vision (for the next 2 years based on the potential of PRA process), (iii) Formulate plan, (iv) Prepare monitoring and evaluation models of the action plan?s implementation. The planning process will be done at the secretariat or at home of one of the group members. CO / Field Organizer (Staff of Titian) will become facilitator in the planning process in this group.
3. Group Strengthening /Routine Facilitation and Preparation of Pre Program
Strengthening group is carried out by routine facilitation process by field organizers according to action plans that have been prepared by the group. In the process of strengthening this group, statutes will be established and regular group meetings at least once every 2 weeks; it is also encouraged to make saving mechanisms and implement savings and loans within group. The capacity building activities in accordance with the needs of the group and members (administration, microfinance, household economic management, etc)
Objective 2 : The presence of Group Business Plan to increase community income through conservation-based efforts such as Floating Cage of Endemic Fish (Lemeduk, Jurung) of Wampu river, Community Nursery Plot and Farming of Native Chicken integrated with Family health gardens.
Indicators : 1. There are documents of Group Business planning and analysis for the maintenance of endemic freshwater fish of Wampu River in floating cages.
2. There are documents of business planning and analysis to obtain increase in income from poultry breeding farm integrated with family health gardens.
3. There are documents of business of developing productive tree nurseries of the group
4. There are plans to build a Community Learning Studio
Activities : 1. Detailing of Planning+Discussion of Business Analysis Formulation on Fish floating cage with the group
2. Discussion of Development Plan and Business Analysis of Community Nursery (Group)
3. Discussion of Business Analysis on Development of native chicken farming and family health garden
4. Discussions with the group about the cost analysis and groups? agreement on the construction of Community Learning Studio
Objective 3 : Dissemination of Program Plan on the Empowerment and Conservation of Wampu Sub Watershed
Indicators : 1. The implementation of meetings with stakeholder of Wampu watershed management
2. Village officials and community leaders Sub Bingai know /are informed about the Program Plan on the Empowerment and Conservation of Wampu Sub Watershed.
Activities : 1. Meetings / visits for program dissemination with watershed stakeholders Wampu. Done with visits and discussions with related stakeholders of Wampu watershed and those who live/are in adjacent location with Wampu watershed.
2. Meetings and discussions with community leaders and officials from Bingai Sub District about Program Plan on the Conservation of Wampu Watershed in Bingai Sub District.
EXPECTED OUTPUT
1. he drafting of Proposal on Development of Community Economic Empowerment based on Conservation of Wampu sub watershed in Ujung Baka area, Bingai Sub District
2. The presence of definitive plan related to natural conservation and community/members? income generating through integrated agricultural businesses such as fish breeding, production of seed plants, family health gardens etc. which are managed in an integrated and sustainable manner.
