Capacity Building & Knowledge Management of the SGP
Managing project at the grassroots is a Herculean task in itself. The staff and grantee should be well aware of the project cycle which includes designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, review the project to match the local need without compromising the GEF focal area and operational programmes. The other responsibilities include reporting, knowledge management, increasing women?s participation, information dissemination, resource generation, equitable resource distribution, help replicate the project initiative and finally safely exit the project. Thus a sound qualified team is essential to drive the project and their capacity should also be enhanced. In order to fulfill the gap of managerial capacity of grantee, the project aim to organize participatory review workshop, financial management training, gender and social inclusion training, social mobilization training and participatory appraisal training.
