Conservation of brood fish of Kbal Steung O-Andaung, Andaung Thnot and Community Livelihood Improvement Project. The project is aiming at the protection and conservation of natural resources through the establishment and protection of community conservation areas. This project has proposed to establish two community conservation areas, aiming at increasing fish stock and protection of 3.5 ha of existing flooded forest and reforestation of 2 ha of flooded forest around these conservation areas which will help to improve the fish habitat, increase biodiversity in Community Fisheries areas. The project also provides education to communities to appreciate and protect natural resources which could lead to a decrease or end of illegal fishing. In addition to that the project will empower women in participation and leadership in group management through organizing them 7 groups to participate in protection and conservation of natural resources and actively take part in other community activities. In order to help those women, project also provide training on fish rasing to 240 members of community fisheries, so that they will use saving group fund to apply knowledge they have learnt to increase their income and reduce pressure to natural fish.
