Demonstration of livestock breeding waste recycling and production of organic fertilizers as method of land degradation prevention and restoration
Project aim:
Decrease greenhouse gases emissions from livestock breeding waste and eliminate bacteriological contamination of lands and soils while increasing farmers and locals well-being.
Project tasks:
-Creation of demonstrational department on processing livestock breeding waste (2000 tones capacity) with efficiency about 150 tons of ecologically clean fertilizers per year (two years)
- Train farmers on using organic fertilizers producing installations on their farms for right processing of livestock breeding waste
Project results:
- Produce 75 tons of ecologically clean fertilizers per year (two years)
- Deceased greenhouse gases emissions from livestock breeding waste on 20% or on 90 tons of greenhouse gases for two project years
- Developed the system of processing and utilization of livestock breeding waste
- Restored 35 ha of land by using biohumus
- Sustainable management of livestock breeding waste and rising potential of local community on waste sustainable management
- Trained 30 members of local community, 2 farms use organic fertilizers producing installations, 2000 of manure given for processing, 35 people involved into project
