Distant pastures restoration and creation of liman haylands on Mailytogay village lands
Project aim:
Restoration of pastures near the village and Improvement of forage base of local community by irrigating distant pastures and creation of estuary sowing lands
Project tasks:
- Building water distributor on Nansay riverbed of Syrdarya river in 17 km away from the village and restoring of 3km irrigating channel with creation of water reservoir of about 4-6 thousands m3
- Organisation of herd for distant grazing and organization of pasturing scheme
- Creation of estuary sowing lands and organization of hay harvesting scheme
- Training locals and demonstration possibilities of near the village pastures restoring
Project results:
- Built water distributor (dump) (l- 50m, b-5m, h?10m)
- Irrigated summer distant pasture of Maylitogay village of 15 thousands ha and created infrastructure for pasturing
- Created estuary sowing lands on 500 ha
- Organized cattle keeping of 30-50 families on distant pastures ? total head of livestock ? about 2000 sheep and goats, 1000 heads of cattle and 500 horses

Conducted training local communities on methods of lands degradation control and organization of distant cattle grazing. Conducted round table on the issues of land degradation.
