Demonstration of complex introduction of energy efficient practices in villages and small towns of Akmola oblast through realization of network project via resource centers
Project aim:
Demonstration of complex introduction of energy efficient practices in villages and small towns of Akmola oblast through realization of umbrella project via resource centers
Project tasks:
- Introduction of 3 energy-efficient practices (energy-efficient lighting, energy-efficient greenhouse, solar water heaters)
- Realization of small pilot initiatives through holding a contest of environmental mini-projects and ideas in the sphere of energy-efficient technologies
- Generalization of the centers? experience and awareness rising on energy efficient practices
Project results:
- Creation of demonstrational sites, using energy efficient lamps, on each project territory show to administrative bodies of 4 regions of Akmola area results on energy saving. In 4 schools there is new educational course ?My EcoHouse and inside?, which program includes practices and approaches on forming environmental culture, skills in practical introduction of green energy-efficient technologies
- Solar collectors, installed in two rural educational organizations and in two urban, shows not less than 6000 rural and urban inhabitants possibilities of exchanging usual heaters on solar ones that allow exclude CO2 emissions and show possibility of service water heating for daily living needs
- 2 energy efficient greenhouses, situated in 2 rural regions of Akmola area, shows rural inhabitants, rural schools? administration, farmers modern approaches in growing vegetables with minimization CO2 emissions, using solar water heaters, that lead not only to increasing yields, but also solve the issue with providing rural schools with free vitaminized products
- Experience of the centers? work on complex realization of the project analyzed and disseminated on the territory of not less than 20 villages and auls, 2 small towns of Akmola area as well as among administrative structures of the district and region, local population of different ages
- 9 small pilot initiatives ? winners of contest of environmental mini-projects (2 best projects for each territory) shows desire of local community for introduction of original approaches in solving energy saving issues
- 3 energy-efficient practices (energy-efficient lighting, energy-efficient greenhouse, solar water heaters) introduced on the territory of 2 rural districts and 2 small towns of Akmola area, access for these practices had about 6300 people, including 1600 woman, 1200 youth and about 400 vulnerable people
