The main aims and objectives of this project are: To protect community forest, endanger species especially the jentink?s duiker, and the yellow backed duiker which are heavily hunted by the local?s hunters and trappers as a source of food and finance. To provide alternative sources of meat and finance by empowering local communities to achieve sustainable livelihoods.

Notable Community Participation
An in-depth consultation has already taken place, with discussions beginning in 2012 with community and stakeholders representative. This proposal has evolved as a direct result of that consultation process and a pre-project development visit which was undertaken from May by the NC.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Knowledge transfer and capacity building based on personal involvement of local people are at the heart of this project and hence dissemination is an integral aspect of what is planned.
