Reforestation and Livelihood Enhancement Project (RILEP) for Biodiversity Conservation & Sustainable Land Management within the Weto Landscape Area of Agbateh, Tsibu and Peki-Wudome Communities
The project seeks to improved knowledge, attitudes and practices of the local community members and traditional authorities in biodiversity conservation and sustainable land management activities; develop their local capacities in the conservation and management of the natural and semi-natural habitats and ecosystem within the landscape, including that of the Glo River, and increased the income generation capacity of community members through livelihood enterprises development in line with the local tradition and culture people.

The targeted outputs are:
1. Create awareness on the landscape conservation practices within the targeted areas
2. Build capacities and resource 80 community members to undertake reforestation activities within the targeted Landscape
3. Develop participatory land use plan based on the traditional and perceived production systems
4. Building the capacity of 2 traditional authorities and 12 Clan leaders to implement sustainable biodiversity conservation management concept as part of their traditional laws
5.Support local farmers cultivating on the slopes to adopt agro-forestry, stone bonding and other sustainable land management practices to rehabilitate 23.5 ha of degraded areas within the Landscape with indigenous tree bamboo seedlings
6.Introduce and support farmers in organic composting and recycling of farm manure
7. Establish two chain-linked Community nursery for the production and sale of planting materials.
8. Support 80 community members to invest in either grass cutter and snail rearing and mushroom production and bamboo cultivation.
9. 40 landowners provided with breeding stocks for start-up activities.
10. 2.4 ha of Weto Landscape Area planted with grafted mangoes for income generation activities
11. Linkage with retailers established for the sale of fruits, fruit trees and forest seedlings and bamboo applications
12. Establish 40 model reforestation activities by landowners at the end of the project
13. Sustain multiple cropping and compost technology to all farmers
14. Support the rehabilitation of the degraded land within the landscape
Upon receipt and acceptance of third progress report and for execution of the following activities:
15. Document and disseminate of systems and best practices in resource use and multiple use sustainable land management in the landscape
