GEF SGP Stakeholders Workshop for OP 5
Implementing NGO/CBO: The Foundation for Thailand Rural Reconstruction Movement (TRRM): Established on 14 December 1967, by professor Puey Ungphakorn and a group of personnel from both public and private sector, with a vision and mission to synergize experiences, thoughts and ideas, and resources for reconstruct and upgrade livelihood of rural communities. In the beginning years, TRRM launched its activities by using integrated development approaches covering 4 areas: livelihoods, education, health and capacity-building. In addition, TRRM has played a leading role to coordinate collaboration among private-public collaboration in rural development. On 31 October 1969, H.M. the King graciously accepted TRRM under a royal patronage.

Target Population:About 100 persons consisting of representatives from CBOs/CSOs which had submitted concept papers for SGP funding, and not prepared for submitting concept papers, from 8 projects of OP 5 year 1, from academics, from relevant government agencies and private sector

Main activities to be carried out:
1. Conducting stakeholders workshop for potential grantees, and other targeted groups for making GEF SGP more understood and upgrading received concept papers
2.Monitoring and conducting mid-course participatory evaluation workshop
3. Summarizing experiences and innovation of supported projects and conduction concluding workshop
4. Producing dissemination materials for further dissemination

Anticipated Results and Indicators:
1. Approximately 100 representatives from 30 CBOs/CSOs gaining insights on main concepts, focal areas and strategies GEF and SGP, witnessed by increased capacity to formulate proposals to meet expectation of the National Steering Committee
2. Compilation of GEF SGP networks comprising CBOs/CSOs, local administrative organizations,16 regional environment offices, 10 provincial energy offices, academic institutes, and relevant private sectors
3. Emergence of knowledge products and compiled experience from supported projects
4. Emergence of one website and face book for the SGP network
