Water scarcity and land degradation by erosion are major problems in rural areas, especially in Fogo Island, specifically in Cutelo Capado. With the problem in mind, the association is promoting a water mobilization project, which is to channel water through appropriate pipes from mountain springs into water designated areas in the community. The initiative will benefit 20 households, including farmers and herders.
