GOAL
?Persistent organic pollution is reduced by dynamizing awareness, responsibility and practical skills of the residents to improve the environmental quality related to the management and utilization of organic and inorganic waste, especially in the context of the arrangement of village based on community initiatives.?

OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : Residents around Bukit Duri and Kampung Pulo are encouraged to be able to manage their neighborhood independently;
Indicator : People change their behavior in managing their environment, especially in the management of organic and inorganic waste
Activities : 1. Regular meetings of residents
2. Comparative study
Objective 2 : Residents are able to turn organic and inorganic waste into something can generate income for them;
Indicator : Consistency in carrying out the management of organic and inorganic waste into biogas, super solid and liquid compost, craft items, as well as construction material in the form of blocks made from trash and debris;
Activities : 1. Processing waste into biogas:
2. Processing waste into construction material in form of block:
3. Processing of waste into craft items
4. Processing waste into super solid and liquid compost
Objective 3 : Residents are able to encourage cooperation with other communities with similar work areas (along river banks) to conduct joint activities in managing the Ciliwung River as part of the surrounding environment of the residents.
Indicator : Cooperation with communities along Ciliwung river banks is implemented.
Activities : Comparative study to other communities along Ciliwung river banks and sharing of experiences.
The event will be hold at the beginning of the program coincided with the time to learn how to make biogas, liquid compost, block and handicraft items made from trash as the raw material, participated by representatives of each RT.
Objective 4 : The world and especially Provincial Government of Jakarta are opened their eyes by the urban poor living in the river banks by the fact that they are able to arrange their neighborhood indepently. Thus actually can give additional value to Provincial Government of Jakarta.
Indicator : Implementation of self-sufficient activities of the residents in their efforts to improve the village through the movement of organic and inorganic waste management .
Activities : Documenting all activities in form of documentaries, and holding public discussion at the end of the program by using those documentaries as media of expression / citizens? publications, also as one of monitoring media as well as internal and public evaluation against the activities carried out by CM together with the residents.

EXPECTED OUTPUT
1. Kampong becomes cleaner, the river in kampong area is no longer treated as a waste disposal site;
2. Kampong becomes able to produce biogas, blocks made from trash and debris, super solid and liquid compost, and a village producing recycle craft;
3. All people are actively involved in waste collection and can control the outcome of waste management in a democratic way through each corresponding RT;
4. Residents are able to actively and critically involved in decision-making of organic and inorganic waste management into biogas, building materials (brick of trash and debris), super-solid and liquid compost, items of recycle craft;
5. Residents can save the cost of fuel for cooking/daily consumption;
6. Residents can earn extra income;
PARTICIPANTS AND / OR PROJECT BENEFICIARIES
Direct : Residents of RT 05, 06, 07, 08 RW 12 Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta consisting of 400 households/ 1500 people, and residents of RT 09, 10, 11 RW 03 Kampung Pulo, Kampung Melayu, East Jakarta, consisting of 193 households /700 people. With a composition of 60% women and 40% men.
Indirect : Other community of residents living along Ciliwung river banks especially residents of Bukit Duri RW 12 which covers 15 RT, and residents of Kampung Pulo RW 03which covers 13 RT, each RT consists of about 60-90 households or about 200-300 people each, as well as urban poor communities in Jakarta such as Cakung Cilincing, Sepatan, Teluk Gong, Kampung Melayu Kecil, ex-Taman BMW, Bantar Gebang, middle-class people, especially students and university students who have been through live-in process in the neighborhood Ciliwung Merdeka and Provincial Government of Jakarta
