this project aims to reduce the pressure on the natural resources of Zongoene has consequences to degradation of the local ecosystems with focus to forest resources; the sacred forest XIRAMI-MULA has an area of 1,580 hectares and is located at about 30km south from Xai-Xai, in the Administrative Post of Zongoene, in Gaza province; the place has an historical interest to the local community of Zongoene and the adjacent communities because it is used as temple to ask blessings and protection to the ancestors as African people tradition and culture, because there is where the spirits that formerly protected the community of the Nguni invasion, around 18-19th century live; it is in this context that ACOSADE will intervene in protecting the biodiversity of the Limpopo river delta and mitigate effects of land degradation and climate change.
