Construção de 1 Dique de Retenção, Arretos e Plantação de Árvores
The project involves carrying out concrete anti-erosion activities in Ribeirão Fundo in Planalto Leste, Santo Antão Island. The intervention site is also located within the Parque Natural of Cova, Paúl e Torre, an area which has been affected by soil erosion over the years. Additionally, previous interventions have not had desired impact.
In this sense, the purpose will be to implement coordinated interventions, such as contribution of a dike, and anti-erosion terraces, while reforesting steep sloping areas with forest plats. The actions will not only minimize soil loss, but as well will enable small farmers to have more accessible land for small farm plots.
