Activate and Consolidate the Participation in the Reduction of Energy Use
The project aims to provide 40000 energy-saving bulbs with soft, revolving loans for the poor community in Qena villages. It will also create 24 job opportunities for young men through an effective partnership between 6 NGOs members in the Union.
Project activities:
1- Installing 40000 energy-saving bulbs.
2- Organize 3 workshops throughout the project duration.
3- Hold 4 training courses for young people on marketing, communication skills and revolving funds.
4- Printing raising awareness publications.

Notable Community Participation
- Effective partnerships established within the project between local authorities, NGOs and the local community is the key of the project success.
- A network of 10 NGOs in 6 centers in Qena governorate.

- A large number of families participated in the project to improve their environmental and economic conditions.
