Project consisted of various courses and trainings designed to teach the local population about the energy efficiency and energy saving. As a result, participants of the project gained a more conscious approach to the use of energy and learned that applying certain inexpensive solutions can significantly improve their financial situation. Members of the local communities undertook a number of repairs on their flats or houses, replaced old radiators for new, changed the windows, replaced the roofing and insulated floors and walls in their homes in order to prevent further heat loss. There was a significant change in the behaviour of the participants and during the 15 months of the project the odour in the houses had improved as well as whole environment around the homes in the area.
Courses were designed in a way that clients learn during the construction and engineering works so they can help themselves with the next reconstruction of their homes in the future. Another positive aspect of the training was that members of the lower social class improved in the basic knowledge of reading, writing and counting, acquired new knowledge and skills and learned how to work with new tools and technologies (milling machine, tube sealing...). Obtained experience and knowledge can help them in the next job search or improvement of their position in the labour market.
