Reforestation of the degraded periphery of the Lake Tumba by Agro-forestry
The project intends to undertake on-the-ground activities that will invert deforestation trend. Well known fast growing trees such as Acacia will be associated to caterpillar bearer trees to make up a technology package in agro-forestry type of reforestation on specific sites around the Lake.
The Project was submitted by a local NGO called ?Action Group to Save Man and his Environment? (GASHE). The NGO has already worked with other partners in projects implementation in the area.
The implementation schedule will take 18 months to conclude, with a cost of 46,543 USD.
