Sustainable Vegetable Growing and Conserving Natural and Cultural Heritage Areas
The project targets re-vegetation of local native trees in the local communities to combat the pressure from indiscriminate useage for fule, building materials which has led to the habitat destruction and loss for birds and other animals in the area. The vegetation project will also reduce erosion and retain soil fertility for food gardens and vegetable farms. The proponent is made up of mostly village women from Holipoka Village in the Goroka District in Eastern Highlands Province.
