KATC is a Faith based Training institution owned by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) of the Catholic Church. It is an NGO with headquarters in the community in which it operates (Kasisi in Chongwe District).

Kasisi Agricultural Training Centre (KATC) is a Training Centre which offers training and extension in organic/sustainable agriculture and facilitates holistic rural development among small scale farmers through the promotion of sustainable/organic farming technologies and practices. Besides training and extension KATC is also engaged in research in sustainable/organic technologies and practices, operates an Appropriate Technology Workshop which researched designs, manufactures and sells small scale farmer appropriate and affordable technologies. KATC also runs a productive unit which serves as a strong practical training and demonstration tool and generates some income. It was founded in 1974 and has therefore been in existence for 36 years.

Project?s main objective
To improve the rural poor?s livelihoods while protecting and improving the environment through promotion of Agro forestry and Beekeeping in Chongwe district.
