Climate Change Impacts the Village of Utulaelae
The project involves personnel from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP); the Global Environment Facility (GEF), Small Grants Program (SGP); Community Based Adaptation Staff (CBA); officials from the Government of Samoa; the village of Utulaelae and the local consultant managing funds and project staff to carry out activities designed to make the village environment durable for its constituents to survive the impacts of Climate Change. The project involves the demarcation of an area in the village lagoon reserved and the careful implementation of activities at the coast to recover it from degradation, making it resilient to the hard impacts of Climate Change
