The aim of this planning grant is to produce a full project proposal for a community-based initiatives on addressing climate change, resource management and biodiversity protection for the upper Moyog river area, where the population of the surrounding villages have depended upon the natural resources available in the Corcker Range forest. The demand for more land for increasing population and development has depleted the surrounding forest, leading to shortage of water during droughts, depleting source of medicinal plants and other forest produce such as rattan.
