Establishment of Center for Biodiversity Protection in Marbeen Protected Area
The project is mainly the establishment of a center for Biodiversity protection in Merbin protected area. This project has an impact on solving the problem of biodiversity protection in the natural reserves, the environmental ecosystem in the forests, and on the agricultural areas for sustainability. As well as this project solves the problem of ground water and springs polluted by chemical fertilizers. Among this concept the project main objectives are:
- Reduce the potential for fires to happen.
- Protection of indigenous flora and fauna in their local environment.
- Increase awareness of the community on sustainable use of animals and plants.
- Identify the types of plants and animals in the reserve during all seasons.
- Set a map of the biological diversity of plant and animal at the reserve.
- Reintroduction of sensitive species and increase their existence in their ecological system.
- Improve agricultural practices on the use of pesticides and fertilizers (organic agriculture, integrated pest management, composting ....).
- Raise the level of knowledge among farmers about the concept of sustainable agriculture
