Participatory conservation in reducing threats to Rawana Ella Wildlife sanctuary by Muwanwewa Grama Sanvardhana Samithiya
Rawana Ella sanctuary?s biodiversity richness is threatened by the human activities of the surrounding communities. It is also prone to forest fires. Proposes to create fire belts, reforestation, soil conservation practices, awareness creation, home garden and alternate income generation practices for the surrounding villages. Establishing Ella environment circle to facilitate sustainable conservation practices.
