GOAL
Existing strategic development planning of local resources-based food security and environment conservation in Mount Menoreh

OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : Restoring community awareness on utilizing the potency of local food and its revitalization for food, medicine, and conservation in Mount Menoreh area.
Indicators : 1. Identification of the local food potential in Mount Menoreh
2. Identification of the local community wisdom in utilizing local food in Mount Menoreh
3. Establishment of farmer groups with comprehensive understanding on local potential
Activities : Village discussion regarding the potential of food-based plants and its cultivation method in accordance with Pranoto Mangso, a local wisdom method

Objective 2 : Establishing food security plan based on the potential of local plant
Indicators : Existing participatory plan for food security program
Activities : Conduct the participatory plan to determine the food security method

Objective 3 : Developing an integrated planning of agricultural method and local plants utilization
Indicators : Existing plan for developing activities and utilization of community-based local plant, including the potency of traditional medicine and local plants
Activities : 1. Develop participatory planning with the community to determine working focus and its area based on community potential maps
2. Participatory planning workshop
Representative of SETAM and local community will attend the participatory planning workshop held by GEF SGP.



EXPECTED OUTPUTS
1. Existing group of farmers with comprehensive understanding on local potentials
2. Identification of the local food potential and local community wisdom in utilizing local food in Mount Menoreh area
3. Existing participatory planning method for food security programme
4. Existing participatory planning for community-based activities development and local plants utilization, including the potentials of traditional medicine and local plants
