Increasing Public Participation for Mangrove Rehabilitation in Mojo Village, Ulujami Sub-District, Pemalang District
GOAL
Establishment of a prosperous coastal communities as beach resort village supported by mangrove forest ecosystems and coastal economic business.

OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : Rehabilitation of overlay area and ponds to reduce the abrasion and intrusion of the coast.
Indicator : 1. Reduction of abrasion to less then 1 meter.
2. Existing study results on suitability of mangrove conservation and planting for the working area.
3. Forming the green area of mangrove on coastal for 30 meters.
4. Conducted rehabilitation technical training of mangrove for 4 times with 30 participations.
Activities : 1. Conducting study on suitability of mangrove species to be palnted on planting location to know the soil texture, tide, and never existed-species before.
2. Training on mangrove technical rehabilitation with 30 participants consists of farmers, members and communities.
3. Mangrove planting. The planting are using 1 x 1 meter spacing, and evaluation after 3 months

Objective 2 : Conduct a training, socialization and cross learning to increase the knowledge on utilization and function of mangrove forest in order to suppress logging if mangroves bye the community.
Indicator : 1. Increasing public awareness on function and benefits of Mangrove.
2. Reduced logging communities in Mangrove forest area.
Activities : 1. Conducting awarenss training on the importance of mangrove forest ecosystem. The training material such as introducing on mangrove species and its benefits, the importance of mangrove on fisheries and mangrove-related policies.
2. Conducting a cross learning to location that considered has the potential in developing Mangrove. The alternatif location are: MIC Bali, Langkat, Sinjai and Tritih Mangrove park in Cilacap.
3. Socialization regulation on regional spatial Pemalang Coast. Socialization will be done by collaboration with related stakeholders in Pemalang.

Objective 3 : Build an eco-friendly pond demplot that can be applied by other conversion ponds and still concern with the environmental sustainability
Indicator : 1. Farmer will manage the pond with still concern on environment sustainability.
2. The form of eco friendly-ponds demplot with silvofishery management system which not using drugs like other ponds in Pemalang.
3. Seed aid distribution for ponds.
Activities : 1. Build an eco-friendly pond demplot. The pond will be on member?s property in 2 ha with eco-friendly system and not using toxic chemical.
2. Distributing 20.000 milkfish seed to the farmers and 5.000 shrimp seeds.

Objective 4 : Facilitating the making of draft regulation for Mojo Village regarding the coastal management and utilization of sustainability and eco-friendly.
Indicator : 1. Existing draft regulation for coastal on Mojo Village
2. Agreed on Village regulation by the local government, BDP and LPMD.
3. Socialization on village regulation to community.
Activities : 1. Meetings with community representative for the same perception on coastal management and planning on making the village regulation socialization to the community.
2. Build a team to formulate the draft regulation
3. The teams will do their task until the draft is formed which will be followed up by chief village to be submitted to BPD.
4. After agreed by the regent then the chief village will socialized the Perdes to the community.


EXPECTED OUTPUT
1. 100.000 seeds of mangrove are planted on 50 ha ponds in area and 10 ha in ponds location.
2. Existing 2 times training and cross learing to sustainable mangrove management location.
3. Optimize the eco-friendly ponds demplot.
4. Socialized Perdes regarding eco-friendly coastal management.
