Soil degradation caused in part by unsustainable irrigation and agricultural practices has been one of the factors of loss of agricultural land, and consequently increase in poverty levels in Boca de Coruja (Turim), Santo Antão Island. To increase livelihood options to families, promote best water use practices, and decrease soil erosion, ADIBoC is promoting the implementation of drip irrigation measures which will support 5 women farmers in Boca de Coruja.
