Lack of rain in Cape Verde has been a major agriculture constraint in the country. In Santo Antão Island, specifically in Fajã Domingas Benta, water availability and management has always been at the top of concerns for local farmers. This project aims implement alternative ways of irrigation ? drip irrigation ? as a response to lack of available water for agriculture and at the same time decrease the traditional ways of irrigation, which has shown to contribute to soil loss and consequently erosion of agriculture land
