Protection and Conservation of Species and Habitats
The project intends to develop a set of conservation activities in San Francisco local community, aiming to protect marine turtles and its habitat. It will also monitor nesting beaches, sensitize communities and tourists, as well as train youths as turtle watch guides.

Information sessions on marine turtle conservation promoted all over the community with the involvement of national institutions
Notable Community Participation
São Francisco local community participated in nesting beach monitoring, training programs from July to October 2010. 200 community members were involved in 7 beach cleaning activities.
