The limited forest resources of the country are facing significant pressure from expanding development interventions and rapidly growing population. The eco-forestry concept promoted by the FSC underpinning sustainable development principles is increasingly being recognized as the measure for business to address climate change impacts resulting from deforestation in developing countries.
