Community Based Integrated Natural Resources Management for Livelihood Improvement (CBINRM-LI)
This project is aiming at increase natural fish stock and conserves many water bird species that migrate to Trav Kot reservoir through establishing Community conservation area to get an official recognition from Fisheries Administration. Project also builds capacity of community forestry committee members to development forest management plan of 99 ha of Community Forest management areas and to get official recognition from Forestry Administration. As the project target is rich of national resources included old temples and it close to Siem Reap town, project will also support community to develop and run community-based eco-tourism activity to get more income from their conservation effort. Moreover, to reduce pressure on the use of fisheries and forestry resources, project also introduces small scale fish culture technique for more than 100 poor farmers in the target area.
