Since the beginning of 1990s, pioneering facilities and trips using ecotourism terminology has started. However, since these years, diversity of implementations and approaches shows that the ecotourism approach did not well understood and implemented on the land. There is a need for evaluation of the existing implementations and search for a common sense in terms of principals and procedures. This is seen from the Turkish Foresters Association as a serious problem to protect the effects of improper implementations damaging ecosystems instead of supporting.
