SOSNA- “Demonstrational Ecological Center Sosna“
The project aims at ecological and energy efficient reconstruction of eco center SOSNA by using ecological materials for insulation (straw, hemp, wool, etc.) and using biomass as a source of heating. The premises will ten serve for informational, educational and promotional activities for local citizens, local activists, other NGOs, etc.

Notable Community Participation
Ekocentre is partly built by voluntary activities, craft workshops and learning-by-doing courses. There is very close cooperation with local grammar school and with local municipalities which resulted in joint organisation of various events, like "Open Day", "Organic agriculture Days" etc. Roma community is also involved in Econcentre activities by helping in reconstruction works and gardening activities.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Project will lead to promotion of environmentally sustainable methods in construction sector, spreading the practical ways of reducing energy costs and in decreasing CO2 emissions. Local people regularly visit the Ecocentre and discuss the technical details of building houses from natural materials and using RES for heating.
