GOAL
To apply Kelud Area Planning with cultural and economic perspective

OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : To conserve and preserve the major sources of springs in South Kelud Region (Mbelik Banteng, Blumbang Pacuh, Sumber Plumbon, and Blumbang Gedhe)
Indicators : 1. Planted land in Blumbang Gedhe (covering 10 hectares and is expected to be stipulated as KPS) by conservation plant (such as banyan tree, mahogany, kesambi, poinciana tree coconut, matoa, mango)
2. The dredging of Sumber Pacuh
3. The restoration of Plengsengan Mbelik Banteng
4. The implementation of environmental jamboree in Blumbang Gedhe along with the documentation
5. The implementation of 'Gowes for Green' (literally translated as Cycling for Green) along with the documentation
6. The release of 1000 fish seedlings in Blumbang Pacuh
7. Workshop on Kelud Conservation Area based on the culture and development of agriculture
Activities 1. Making Conservation Nursery & Planting Jamboree in the area of Blumbang Gedhe
2. Planting, dredging, and spreading fish seedlings in Sumber Pacuh
3. Planting and improving plengsengan Mbelik Banteng
4. Planting in the area of Plumbon -Bangsri
5. Workshop on Kelud Conservation Area
Objective 2 : To carry out campaign to increase public awareness through cultural approach so they are involved in conservation activities
Indicators : 1. The implementation of Sadranan (traditional ritual) activities in Sumber Pacuh
2. The implementation of Sadranan activities (floating sesaji -series of food/harvest celebration-) in Sumber Blumbang Gedhe
Activities : 1. Sadranan Sumber of suro month in Sumber Pacuh
2. Sadranan Sumber of suro month in Sumber Blumbang Gedhe
Objective 3 : To develop the capacity and activities of generating alternative income (livelihood) related to the conservation activities based on community for the sustainability of post-program activities.
Indicators : 1. One training for program manager for five representatives of PPAB
2. Two biogas installation for the development of energy based on people which will be managed by 10 households
3. At least five cadres of administrators managing a revolving loan as the result of the training on revolving credit management for the administrators.
4. A management system of revolving credit agreed by the people with the initial funding of IDR. 32.000.000, - including the goats and cows for the people.
5. Organic agricultural products to improve the welfare of farmers (100 ru of rice field and 50 ru of chili fields)
6. A joint farm belongs to the people which contains six cows and four goats that will be used to make organic compost for organic farming
Activities : 1. Training on Program Management.
2. Biogas installation in Panataran farmers' groups (using cow manure) and Soso farmer?s groups (using chicken manure).
3. Revolving credit for Soso farmer groups.
4. Training of Management for Revolving Credit Administrators
5. Developing organic agriculture and organic farming pilot project in Panataran farmers' groups.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
1. The existing emergency responses to be done immediately to improve the sources of the major springs on the slopes of Kelud.
2. The flourishing culture in order to conserve water resources.
3. The credit that is easily accessible by farmers
4. The increasing understanding of organic farming and alternative energy.
5. The changing of attitudes and culture of community that is starting to be more concern in the sustainability of springs

Direct : 250 members of farmer groups
Indirect : 600 people of Gambar Anyar Village, 450 people of Penataran Village, and 425 people of Soso Village
