GOAL
Jakarta youth groups are taking active participatory role in saving the mangrove forest of Jakarta.

OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : To create Environmental Education Activities on Angke Kapuk Protected Areas and Muara Angke Wildlife (SMMA) for Nature Lovers Group for high school levels in Jakarta.
Indicators : a. A group of 50 members Nature Lovers Group from five regions of Jakarta. Participants will learn how to campaign SMMA.
b. A module on environmental education that can be done by groups of youth starting from high school level and beyond.
c. Campaign materials on how to maintain a good natural environment side by side with urban region, how to maintain the existing conservation areas, both the flora and fauna.
d. Compilation record of animals and plant biodiversity observations in Jakarta region, based on two observations that have been completed by the results of the workshop.
e. 20 trained people to become trainers to be the agent that can spread the 'virus' to maintain the existing green environment.
f. Documentation of visual events.
Activity : a. Training on biodiversity observation
Training on observation is field practice activity to enable participants in understanding key concepts on mangroves ecosystem, biodiversity and its threats.
b. Workshop seminar of the observation result
This event was held to get input from experts and the media over the observations to give more benefit the youth. It is needed because the books or the observation module available today are not interesting and are too boring to read. This activity will be conducted in Jakarta after the training and implementation of the observation is completed and it will be done with a seminar presenting expert resource persons.
c. Designing campaign materials together with the volunteers of the Jakarta Green Monster and Nature Lovers Group
Designing material is one step further after the Nature Lovers groups obtain material and technical knowledge of field observations. Activities will be held two times a year with the interval of six months. In one year there are 10 schools expected to get this material of biodiversity observations and the material will be made by the group of nature lovers who will get the training observations. These activities will be conducted in Protected Forests And SMMA.
d. ToT training on mangrove forest ecosystem of Jakarta
ToT Training is a later stage for Nature Lovers group who become the target of activities, which aims as the replicating program of groups and activities.
e. Making of volunteer learning books
Biodiversity observation process and volunteer experience will be documented in form of an illustrative and interactive book with the youth from high school to university as the target audience. The book is expected to be a guideline for the young people who want to become an observer of biodiversity in the area around Jakarta.

Objective 2 : To provide space for environmental activities of Nature Lovers Group of high school level on Jakarta scale as well as for Jakarta's other youth groups in Angke Kapuk Protected Forests and Muara Angke Wildlife
Indicators : a. Angke Kapuk Protected Forests and Muara Angke Wildlife is transformed as the identity that makes proud, indicated by the routine use of this place by youth groups or other residents of Jakarta as a learning centre and transformed as the place into important area to be maintained because of its function for the life of other living things.
b. 10 people added each month to become members of TRASHI
c. Sense of ownership of groups doing their activities in Angke Kapuk Protected Forests and Muara Angke Wildlife is increased, there are at least two activities performed by the target groups involved in group activities during the year.
d. Documentation of visual events.
e. TRASHIMOLOGI activity reports with the youth groups in form of documents and visual.
Activities : a. Making the action of Bersih Sampah (literary translated as Cleaning Action) as adhesive media for groups doing activities in Angke Kapuk Protected Forests and Muara Angke Wildlife
b. Greemology as a force to support the implementation of saving Angke Kapuk Protected Forests and Muara Angke Wildlife.

Objective 3 : To make the Angke Kapuk Protected Forests and Muara Angke Wildlife as Centre of Wetland Information in Jakarta.
Indicator : a. More groups and individuals who make Angke Kapuk Protected Forests and Muara Angke Wildlife as a place to learn and do their activities, there are 1000 people doing their activities in Angke Kapuk Protected Forests and Muara Angke Wildlife.
b. 1 self-interpreting map that includes five areas in Jakarta.
c. Campaign materials such as: key chains and pins.
d. Increase in the number of TRASHI volunteer starting at the beginning of the activities until the end of one year of activity.
e. Increase in diversity of backgrounds of TRASHI volunteer.
f. Increase of knowledge of TRASHI volunteer starting from the beginning of the activities until the end of one year of activity, proved by the survey/brief questionnaires
Activity : a. Creating a self interpreting map
Self-interpreting map is a tool for visitors to obtain information independently. This map contains information about the biodiversity of Angke Kapuk Protected Forests and Muara Angke Wildlife, and three other areas in Jakarta. It will be made in the third month and will be disseminated through the local tourist sites - hotels, in communities, etc.
b. Creating a visual and printed creative campaign
Creative campaign is one way to introduce the existence of the region to the wider community. This campaign will be undertaken in a participatory manner by the Department of Agriculture and Marine of DKI Jakarta and the Center of Natural Resources Conservation of DKI Jakarta, community that has a common concern on Angke Kapuk Protected Forests and Muara Angke Wildlife.
c. Communicating intensively the results of TRASHI activities to relevant stakeholders
Angke Kapuk Protected Forests and Muara Angke Wildlife area is closely related to the Department of Agriculture and Marine DKI Jakarta and the Center of Natural Resources Conservation Jakarta. Communicating and disseminating results of the work of TRASHI to the related department is expected to strengthen the region as the information centre of Jakarta wetlands.
