Protecting the Forest while Preserving Incomes
Protecting the Forest while Preserving Incomes
The project equips local communities with the necessary tools (knowledge, skills, and organizational capacities) to take responsibility in their own hands and safeguard forest resources; while at the same time assuring the sustainability of their income through bamboo processing. Community based agreements on forest management and use that includes active community involvement in resource management requires strengthening of community based user groups and the capacity development of those groups.
