Sustainable Land Management by Improvement in Water Harvesting and
usage for Livelihoods in Rod Kohi area of DI Khan district
Project objectives:
? To mobilize the CBOs already established for the similar projects
? To introduce sustainable land management techniques
? To demonstrate cost effective and efficient replicable land and water utilization system
Activities to be carried out under project:
1.1: All stakeholders consultation workshop including the SLMP field team for integrated project filed planning
1.2: Delivery of social mobilization process with the coordination of already existing Civil Society Organizations/projects
1.3: Social Entrepreneurs rehabilitation and organization
2.1: Introduction of innovative water harvesting techniques like for instance construction of water ponds and diversion structures etc.
2.2: Land and water conservation techniques demonstrated for enhancement of harvested water?s retention life and land conservation at on and off farm levels
2.3: Promoting indigenous forests plants for land cover
2.4: Awareness rising by promoting successful demonstrations
3.1: Demonstration of sustainable land management practices and appropriate irrigation systems
3.2: Introduction of low delta and drought resistant crops? verities with integrated crop management practices
3.3: Collection of data on effectiveness
3.4: Dissemination of the results
