Renewable Energy / Solar Water Heating
The project aims at promoting the use of renewable energy within the local community in Bayuda by implementing solar water heaters and conserving energy. This project will therefore increase environmental awareness about natural resource management that will help decrease logging in the area and later nurturing this aspect within the local community.
Specific Objectives are:
- Conserving energy in the area, along with improving the livelihood and living conditions of the local community, by using a revolving fund that is given to help initiate energy conservation practices.
- Enhance the awareness of the local community about energy conservation practices.
- Promoting renewable energy and decreasing logging in the area, which will help conserve the biodiversity of Bayuda.
