Rehabilitation of forests suffered from fires in Vetka district Gomel oblast with the purpose of CO2 emissions reduction.
The goal of the project is to restore forests suffered from forest fire at the territory of Vetka district near the village Hal?ch (Gomel oblast) with purpose of CO2 emission reduction, biodiversity conservation and set up of forest fires barriers.
Main tasks:
1. To clean up of the territory suffered from fire from burnt plantations
2. To restore the forests suffered from forest fire at the square of 60 ha (app. CO2 reduction by 50 tons a year) and create forest fires barriers (Vetka district).
3. To hold the mass-media activities on the project development and results, involvement of local population schools students into the project implementation.
Expected results:
1. The clean up of the territory suffered from fire from burnt plantations are accomplished
2. The new forest plantations and anti fire barriers are created.
3. The mass-media activities on the project development and results, involvement of local population schools students into the project implementation were hold.
