Knowledge tranfer and capacity building based on personal involvement of local people are at the heart of this project and hence dissemination is an integral component of the planned activities.

Local Environmental Volunteer Groups will be trained in effective managing the Jathropha trees and the production of the seeds.

The project will be sustained through Revenue Generating Machanism including marketing of the products. The project will also engage in income generationg activities such as fees.

The project will focus on providing technical support and capacity for local stakeholders to protect their own environment. They will be trained in income generating activities and other skill building programme that will enhance their starndard of living.

The project will focus on training women as major project staff. They will form the core of all project work to be undertaken. Women will trained to under take a sustainable liverlihood activities. This envisage that the project would empower women and other local to determine theeir own futures.

The project will help implement the national environment law and the out come of the National Adaptation Programme of Action ( NAPA). The recently developed National Renewable Energy Programme NREP as well.
