Project Site: Ngchesar Hamlet and other rural areas of Babeldoab, Palau
This project is to revitalize coconut oil production in Palau: create employment opportunities, demonstrate a source of biogenic diesel fuel for isolated communities or in times of crisis, create a public awareness of climate change and sustainability issues, reduce Palau's carbon footprint, avoid potential conversation of land to a higher impact use instead of existing coconut groves, promote value-added industries such as cosmetics and health food additives, promote traditional community structure and culture associated with the use of coconut products.
