THE BATAM – ECO TRADE SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP “Changing Exploitation to Sustainable Extraction”
Project Development Goals:
Making efforts to conserve the habitat rehabilitation and support through the development of alternative economic Livelihood for the community.
Project Development Objectives:
1. Livelihood creation that can be relied upon to support the economic community in the field of fisheries.
2. The relationship a fair trade (Fair Trade) of the product generated from the Eco-Services.
3. Documentation of knowledge in the management of local fisheries resources are responsible.
Expected Outputs:
1. Developed an ecology-based Livelihood activities
2. Established fair trade fishery product with environment friendly
3. Established network of enviromentally friendly fishery products and conduct partnership between other GEF SGP granteess (Batam ecotrade)
4. Developed Habitat restoration as part of the Eco-Management Services
5. Established resource management model with the environmental services (Eco-Services)
6. Established the existence of community groups who run activities Livelihood conscious and aware of the Sustainable Fisheries as a format of public knowledge about the eco-services management.
7. Developed the audio visual documentation for fishery management
Activities to be conducted:
1. Community preparation
2. Livelihood Development for Responsible Fisheries
3. Habitat restoration as part of eco-services
4. Monitoring and evaluation
